Our Delicious Story

Since its founding in 1985, Moonrakers Restaurant has been a cherished destination in the heart of Mahabalipuram, a town renowned for its rich history and cultural heritage. As one of the oldest seafood establishments in the area, we offer not just a meal, but an experience steeped in tradition, where fresh catches from the sea meet age-old recipes. Our main restaurant, situated in the centre of Mahabalipuram, is known for its welcoming ambiance and cultural charm, making it a favourite among celebrities, tourists and locals.

We also invite you to visit our sister location, the Moonrakers Chettinad Restaurant, just outside Mahabalipuram along the East Coast Road (ECR). This branch offers a unique blend of Chettinad cuisine, celebrated for its robust spices and rich flavours
